National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus

Description

This is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. This is the venue for performances not only for adults, but also for young viewers. The theatre was built in 1939 on the Trinity Hill. Today, the building has its original appearance, but inside it is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and state-of-the-art stage. The theatre interior decorated with ceiling paintings, crystal chandeliers and gilded stucco molding is also fascinating.

The facade of the theatre is guarded by bronze sculptures of the four muses and Apollo.

The building is located in a picturesque garden square, on the central walkway of which a large cascade fountain cheers the passersby. The garden square walkways are decorated with Ballet and Opera Muse sculptural compositions. And two bronze dancers’ figures sat down to have rest not far from the theatre entrance.
