One of the new areas of Belkartografia RUE of the State Committee on Property of the Republic of Belarus activity is the creation of interactive cartographic works.

The development of Explore Minsk Web Map for Kids is based on Minsk wall map for Kids of 1:24,000 scale previously published by the enterprise, with additional possibility of using Yandex Maps resource.

The interactive map is a unique travel guide, a handbook for children and their parents. While travelling along the map you can familiarize yourself with the tourist attractions of the city, learn about its theatres, museums, parks, sports complexes and other interesting places. The map shows more than 200 facilities classified by categories. Each facility is provided with a short profile: name, address, link to official website, photos. Certain facilities are provided with more detailed information: video, text information, virtual tour that can be viewed on PC screen or using virtual reality glasses. The map is available in three languages: Belarusian, Russian, and English.

In the future, the Web Map for Kids will be updated with new facilities and expanded. Users will be able to leave their comments, give rating, and share their impressions. All these will help make study and travel around the city exciting and informative.
